Since 9/11, there has been a shift in how people feel about their safety and security. The wildfires, floods, and weather events over the past couple of years seem to have opened these wounds even further—at least here in Colorado Springs. Even if you haven’t been faced with a big change or suffered a loss, you may experience a shift in how you feel about your personal wellbeing.
September naturally brings change and transition as we begin the shift from Summer into Fall. It can take many forms: the end of a relationship, the death of a frien, economic loss, change of job or school, a move to a new residence, or health challenges to name a few.
The approaching Fall Equinox shifts us into a time when the Metal element becomes predominant. Metal can help us to cut out anything unimportant, This can be by choice or involuntary.
Even positive changes can be perceived as loss by the subconscious mind. With every change, there is always a death of sorts–something leaving in order for the new to manifest. We often resist this process and ignore the need to acknowledge the loss.
Change is related to our life path and the twists and turns connected to the CAREER area. To be in harmony with Career, it’s important to know that each phase of life and each change along the way teaches us about who we are and our Life Purpose. Adjust Career with either moving water—like a fountain–or symbolically with artwork. This will help “push” you on to the next phase of your life.
It’s also good to adjust your KNOWLEDGE area whenever you’re dealing with change or loss. This area relates to self-cultivation and wisdom. It supports the personal growth and insights needed to help you deal with the letting go process.
It can be helpful to write a simple statement of release on a small paper and place it inconspicuously in Knowledge (For example, you could simply write whatever your loss is plus “I release you.”)
Then to complete the process, place a symbol of your current goals or a treasure map showing what you wish to create next in your life in the Knowledge area.
If you’re not clear about what to do or are experiencing even a little brain fog, place a mirror face up in your Knowledge area or under your pillow with the intention of creating clarity.
When you feel the issue is resolved, take time to reassess both the Career & Knowledge areas & remove any adjustments that are no longer relevant!
May your path into Fall be easy!
